Monday Blooms Has Come to an End 😦

And just like that, Monday Blooms has come to an end. 6 weeks of creativity, connection, and self-discovery have flown by, leaving behind a collection of artwork, reflections, and memories that truly capture the heart of this journey.

From the very first session, it was clear that Monday Blooms would become more than just an art workshop. It became a space to slow down, to explore thoughts and emotions through creativity, and to connect with others in an environment free from judgment or pressure. Each week brought something new – a different theme, a different way to express ourselves, and a deeper understanding of what art can offer beyond the final product.

We explored identity through abstract mind maps, uncovered emotions through colour and mark-making, and reflected on self-care with personal poster designs. We experimented with movement and drawing, used words and imagery to express what home means to us, and finally, we brought everything together—adding the final layers to unfinished pieces and displaying our work like a mini gallery. Seeing everything laid out at the end was a reminder of how much had been created, not just in terms of art but in personal growth and shared experiences.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Monday Blooms was how everyone brought something different to the space—whether through the way they worked, the conversations they had, or the emotions they expressed. Some found joy in vibrant colours and expressive marks, while others worked quietly and reflectively, letting their pieces evolve naturally over time. No two experiences were the same, and that’s what made it so special.

Beyond the art, Monday Blooms became a reminder that creativity is for everyone. It’s not about skill or technique; it’s about exploration, about giving yourself the space to express something in a way that feels right for you. It’s about finding flow, releasing expectations, and sometimes just enjoying the process without worrying about the outcome.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined, shared, and created. Your presence and openness made Monday Blooms what it was. And a special thank you to the Youth Employment Hub for providing the space and support to make this happen 🙂

Though this chapter has come to a close, I hope this isn’t the end – just a pause before we bloom again🌷
