Colour Your Feelings at B.FEST 2024
In October, we had the incredible opportunity to bring Colour Your Feelings to B.Fest, Brighton’s annual youth arts festival! Colour Your Feelings was an expressive art and wellbeing workshop designed to help participants explore emotions through colour, creativity, and reflection.
Using a mix of paint stickks, felt tip pens, paper, and chalks, we delved into how different colours relate to our emotions and experiences. The session began with a guided activity where attendees associated colours with words and feelings before creating a personal visual representation of their inner world. Whether participants loved to draw or just wanted to experiment with art in a relaxed, welcoming space, the workshop was open to all.
What made this session even more special was its intergenerational nature – while B.FEST is a youth festival, the workshop welcomed people of different ages, creating a unique space for connection across generations. Seeing younger and older participants share perspectives and artistic expressions was truly inspiring.

Colour Your Feelings wasn’t about making perfect art—it was about self-expression, connection, and discovering new ways to communicate what’s inside. No experience was needed, just an open mind and a willingness to explore.
B.FEST is all about celebrating creativity, and I was so happy to be part of this vibrant festival again. If you joined, I hope you had as much fun as I did! Thank you for being part of this colourful experience 🙂
